Your Baby Can Sign classes are based on Joseph Garcia's "Sign With Your Baby" book, video/DVD, and complete learning kit. However, his products are not included in any of our prices. We strongly recommend that you purchase and review at least one of these products PRIOR to your first class for best results, as only BASIC reference materials are included in the cost of the class. All of these meetings are designed for expectant parents, parents, grandparents, and caregivers to attend.
Your Baby Can Sign Class I
- meets 1 hour a week for 6 weeks
- bring baby with you...lots of fun and songs!
- all the basics that you need to begin signing with your baby
- cost per family includes 1 child and 2 adults
Your Baby Can Sign Class II
- meets 1 hour a week for 6 weeks
- only for families who have completed YBCS Class I
- Bring baby with you...lots of fun and songs!
- in-depth family support for expanding baby's vocabulary
- cost per family includes 1 child and 2 adults
Your Baby Can Sign Beginner's Workshop
- meets once for 2 hours
- Baby stays at home...this class is for adults only!
- you will learn about the benefits of signing with children, know how to get started, and have practiced about 50 signs
- cost per family includes 2 adults
Your Baby Can Sign Topical Workshops
- meets once for 2 hours
- these workshops are available only to families who have completed Class I OR the Beginner's Workshop AND have read Joseph Garcia's book or watched his DVD/video
- Baby stays at home...this class is for adults only!
- this is an advanced class that works quickly through a large number of signs with little instruction about the "how's and why's" of signing
- cost per family includes 2 adults
Your Baby Can Sign Music & Signing Sessions
- meets 45 minutes a week for 12 to 17 weeks
- all families must have completed Class I or Beginner Workshop
- for children at least 18 months old
- children learn signs while dancing, singing, and playing games with others
- less "instruction" and more "learning through play"
- cost per family includes 1 child and 2 adults
Your Baby Can Sign Private Playgroups
- meets for 20-30 minutes
- all families must have completed Class I or Beginner Workshop
- Playgroups are for the whole family! Younger and older siblings are welcome. Please remember that it's each parent's responsibility to make sure that their children are not being disruptive.
- there is a minimum of 6 families
- you provide the location and the fun comes to you!
- you may request preferred vocabulary, topic, songs, games, etc.
Your Baby Can Sign FREE Presentations
- meets once for 1 hour
- for ANYONE who is interested in learning more about signing with children
- Baby stays home...adults only!
- participants learn about the benefits of signing with hearing children, how to make signing successful in their homes, and a few basic signs to start with
- participants leave with a folder full of supporting research, testimonials, products, and class information
- presentations can be scheduled at YOUR preferred location. This is a great opportunity for mom’s groups, childcare centers, early childhood seminars, etc.
